Is there a connection – morally, perhaps – between the two? I will leave that for you, dear reader, to decide.
Not moral, per se, but maybe both represent early signs of the coming disenchantment of something that America used to always be able to rely on, be it the presidency or Star Wars.
not morally? both “ruined” cherished institutions in such a way that we will never get back.
